The “Great Pumpkin” special did not air this year on television, but following a deal with PBS, Charlie Brown’s Thanksgiving and Christmas specials will be back. .
Last month, Apple TV + became the new home of the beloved Peanuts specials. This sparked a scandal among viewers who were used to seeing them every year on television. Apple offered each of the specials free for a few days, but that wasn’t enough to stop online petitions that have garnered hundreds of thousands of signatures.
Apple succumbed to the hype on Wednesday and announced it had partnered with PBS to air “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” on November 22 and “A Charlie Brown Christmas” (“Charlie Brown’s Christmas”) on December 13.
Both specials will be available for free for three days on Apple TV + (“Thanksgiving” November 25-27 and “Christmas” December 11-13). For subscribers to the service, the specials can be seen from November 18th and December 4th respectively.
