(Pd / ma / tn / NAT) At FC St. Gallen 1879, three other players, Yannis Letard, Nicolas Lüchinger and Miro Muheim, have tested positive for Covid-19 in recent days. They have to be in solitary confinement for ten days. This was announced by FC San Gallo in a statement.

As the team and some of the staff have been in quarantine since last Friday, the three players have had no contact with the team. Due to these new cases, the cantonal medical office of St. Gallen has extended the quarantine for the first team and staff up to and including Saturday.

SFL agrees to postpone

FC St. Gallen 1879 then asked the Swiss Football League (SFL) to postpone the Super League match against FC Vaduz next Saturday. SFL approved the application this morning. It is not yet clear when this game will be rescheduled.

The match against FC Zurich, canceled on Sunday due to FCSG quarantine, will be rescheduled for next Wednesday, 9 December, as announced in a tweet from FC St. Gallen.

There are 10 players since the beginning of November

With Letard, Lüchinger and Muheim, 11 FCSG players have now contracted the corona virus. Only last week the game against FC Zurich was postponed because Betim Fazliji and substitute goalkeeper Lukas Watkowiak tested positive. After Florian Kamberi, Jérémy Guillemenot, Lukas Görtler, Alessandro Kräuchi and Basil Stillhart there are 10 positive players since the beginning of November.

Boris Babic, still in individual training at the time after a cruciate ligament rupture, was infected in the summer.
