Season 4 of Fortnite ended today when Marvel Super Villain Galactus finally arrived on Battle Royale Island. Unsurprisingly, players battled the evil giant and the event ended in suspense.

The event of Fortnite started with all the players trapped in the Helicarrier (which it seemed confusing more than one). About 10 minutes after 4 p.m. ET, the dramatic music started playing and at the end of the countdown, the sirens sounded. A giant Galactus rose from the water, shouting, “Watch out, I’m hungry.” Galactus broke the aircraft carrier, plunging players into the sky, where they were rescued by Iron Man. Iron Man gave players a jetpack and explained that Galactus wants to eat Zero Point. Then they put us on our battle buses equipped with bombs, with the plan to feed Galactus the buses. If we fail, Iron Man explained, Galactus would completely absorb Zero Point and collapse reality.

So let’s fight the drones with the new Battle Bus laser cannons. When the going got tough, Thor showed up and tossed my bus to Galactus, which took me on a journey in style. Star Wars through a cave on Galactus’s arm, shooting drones all the time. Iron Man warned me there were too many drones, but Wolverine landed on the outside of my bus and wiped them out.

Then I was thrown off my bus. Galactus swallowed all the buses and exploded. “Thank you bus driver,” said Iron Man, before the scene changed to Jonesy on his office floor when a phone rang, recalling last season’s final event. Jonesy gasped and the screen went black. Then a message appeared saying “to continue into season 5”, with a countdown starting at 7 and a half hours. According to this official report by Fortnite in Twitter , the game will officially go into maintenance and will be back around 4:00 am ET.

The appearance of both wonder of superheroes as was to be expected Zero Point. Season 4 focused on characters from the Marvel universe. Second Epic creative director Donald Mustard, Galactus was drawn to the island because of the Zero point, a tradition of Fortnite which influenced many of the game’s end-of-season events. From rocket launch Season 4, Point Zero was Playing with the reality of the game and played a role in the destruction event of season 8, the battle of the giant robots of season 9 and the black hole which marked the beginning of Episode 2 Of the game. It makes sense that Galactus, the planet-eater, wants to be a part of this, and comes to the island all season.

At the moment the game is just a menu announcing season 5, even after logging out and back in. It’s not as exciting as the mystery of the black hole, when players were wondering when the game would be back online, but I’m definitely curious to see what happens next. Am I curious enough to get up again at 4 in the morning? Unfortunately, probably.
