After the bee, the lobster had to unmask and leave the new season of “The Masked Singer” after only two episodes. One of Germany’s most popular moderators hid under the red mask.
DJ Bobo, Massimo Sinato, Jochen Schropp, HP Baxxter or maybe Steffen Henssler? The jurors of the second episode of the new season of “The Masked Singer” did not entirely agree. Guest juror Ruth Moschner believed she recognized a “Let’s Dance” pro on her thighs, Sonja Zietlow said she heard DJ Bobo’s Swiss dialect.

Various names like Paul Janke, Marcel Remus, Tobi Wegener or Robert Geiss were also circulating on Twitter, but Jochen Schropp was also mentioned here – who actually wore the costume with scissors and clip tail.

In episode two, the 41-year-old had to reveal himself after losing the duel against the hippo and was excluded from the audience. When jurors were again asked in advance who they suspected was under the mask, two of them guessed Jochen Schropp. Some fans also had this assumption.

The moderator had previously wanted to deceive his followers via Instagram. “Today I uploaded a story about how I supposedly cook for my friend. I wanted to get distracted a bit, but that didn’t help,” Jochen Schropp said after unmasking.
The costumes at a glance
Eight candidates are currently still in the running. One is thrown out week after week. You can see all the costumes in ours Photo exhibition.
As in the last two seasons, “The Masked Singer” will be moderated by Matthias Opdenhövel. The badger jury, however, was completely replaced. Instead of Ruth Moschner and Rea Garvey, Sonja Zietlow and Bülent Celyan are now sitting behind the desk. The third place is regularly occupied by another celebrity.
