After the bee and the lobster, the alpaca also had to reveal itself in the new season of “The Masked Singer” on Tuesday evening. Under the guise, however, no Internet stars were hiding, as viewers suspected for weeks.
From the start, the public was certain: only Internet star Dagi Bee could wear the alpaca costume. The clues were obvious – each video was about likes, comments, hashtags, and scrolling. Evident evidence of an influencer, at least the ProSieben community thought.
Sylvie Meis is the alpaca
The jurors did not entirely agree. Names like Cathy Hummels, Karoline Herfurth, and Anke Engelke were mentioned in the first three episodes, but Hayden Panettiere, Nazan Eckes, and Bonnie Strange were also suspected to be under the alpaca mask. Bülent Ceylan then believed he recognized Sylvie Meis from those little feet – and he was right. In fact, the Dutch presenter was in costume with the pink jogging suit.

But for many it was a surprise. “I never thought you would take part here,” said Sonja Zietlow. Even the comedian could barely believe his hypothesis was really correct. “I have small feet, it’s true,” Sylvie Meis said, shortly after exposing herself.
Then he explained his reasons for attending the show: “I really wanted to be someone else, and where better than ‘The Masked Singer’?” The costume or role she was given was fun for the 42-year-old, but it was also exhausting. “I had to play this crazy alpaca. I was tired after the first minute.”
The costumes at a glance
Seven candidates are currently still in the running. One is thrown out week after week. You can see all the costumes in ours Photo exhibition.
As in the last two seasons, “The Masked Singer” will be moderated by Matthias Opdenhövel. The badger jury, however, was completely replaced. Instead of Ruth Moschner and Rea Garvey, Sonja Zietlow and Bülent Celyan are now sitting behind the desk. The third place is regularly occupied by another celebrity.
