A family case study

Faced with these results, the authors conclude: ” These data indicate that children can develop immune response to SARS-CoV-2 without virologic confirmation of infection, increasing the possibility that immunity in children may prevent the establishment of SARS-CoV-2 infection. Relying on routine virological and serological testing may not identify exposed children, with implications for epidemiological and clinical studies throughout life. “
However, this study remains a case study and will need to be confirmed by other experiences. However, these findings are troubling and should be contested the scientific community. The associate professor MCRI’s Nigel Crawford, who oversaw the study, says: ” Studying immune responses to SARS-CoV-2 in all age groups is essential to understand disease susceptibility, differences in severity and the vaccines candidates. “
