The creators of the console never mentioned in their manuals that there was an option to recover deleted files.
The youtuber John Glasscock has unveiled an option that was never mentioned in the manuals of the PlayStation 1 console, which saw the light in the distant 1994.
In a video posted on his video platform channel, Glasscock explains that the memory card of the first Play Station had a secret function that made it possible to recover a file from the card, for example if it had been accidentally deleted. To do this, you had to press the R1, R2, L1 and L2 buttons on the remote three times at the same time.
The blogger successfully demonstrated how to wipe and recover game data. It should be remembered that in the first PS it was impossible to save game progress without using the memory card.
“I would have liked to know when I was a child”, a user complained ironically after watching the video with the secret revealed by the blogger. “A moment of silence for people who managed to get their games back but didn’t know” or “This may prevent my older brother from hitting me when I accidentally deleted his progress,” were two other comments from netizens.
