After the repudiation generated by the dissemination of images of Diego Maradona’s body taken by three employees of the funeral home before his awakening, a new photo began to circulate. The leaking of this material not only causes new outrage, but also seems to contradict the burial ground’s version, according to which the first photographs were taken by men in “two minutes where they were alone”.
The image that has gone viral in the last few hours, which La Nación does not reproduce here, is a selfie in which Diego Molina – the man who posed with his thumb up next to the drawer – looks smiling at the camera, next to the body. Maradona is undressed.
This Friday night, justice broke into the funeral home that performed the service for the farewell ceremony for the former Argentina national team captain. Additionally, Molina, who had not yet been found, appeared at the city’s 15 municipal police station in Chacarita.
The appearance of the new material raises some doubts about the sayings of the owners of the company, as the differences between the first photo and the last one indicate that they must have been taken at different times.
In dialogue with the Argentine newspaper La Nación, one of the owners of the company Sepelios Pinier had explained that the images were the product of a moment of distraction. “It was two seconds. They are not our employees. They were just going to bring the materials for the burning chapel. They don’t even ride it, we do it with my brothers. But because they were a lot of objects and heavy, we hired these people to carry the materials in another vehicle and not damage the drawer, “the man said.
