Talaat appealed to the media to continue their role in raising awareness of the danger of the Corona virus. A message was addressed to the Egyptians not to abuse antibiotics.
The American company “Moderna” announced in a statement today Monday that its Coronavirus vaccine “showed its base efficacy of 94.5 percent.”
The statement said his Corona vaccine “reached its baseline efficacy after the interim and preliminary analysis of the third-phase test results,” adding that its efficacy reached 94.5 percent.
A company statement says preliminary findings are based on 95 different cases (of Hispanic, American, African and Asian descent), adding that no safety concerns have been reported.
He continued: “Given the accumulation of multiple case results leading up to the final analysis, the company expects the vaccine efficacy estimate will change.”
The company has indicated that it intends to apply for an “emergency use” license within the next few weeks.
The company previously said it would seek “emergency leave” from health authorities if it proved to be at least 70% effective.
