The Voice of Germany: the declaration is the downfall of Rea Garvey

Cologne –

What was going on there? Actually, Rea Garvey is one of the coaches of “The Voice of Germany” – but on Sunday night (November 22) the singer suddenly appeared on stage and played a German pop song.

It all started with the battle in Mark Forster’s team. Alexandra and Cathalin competed against each other for Wir sind Helden’s song “Guten Tag”.

A task that initially faced both extreme problems. “The song didn’t tell me anything,” Cathalin said when she discovered the selection. “How can you do this to me?” He asked his coach during rehearsals when he still had big problems getting the text on the chain.

And not even Alexandra could imagine playing this song. “This is a challenge for a coach,” said only Mark Forster.

But the two have mastered it with flying colors in the show. “You really accepted it,” Forster says. But before deciding who would go to the next round, Rea Garvey said he had already played this song.

“Can you still do that?” Asked Annemarie Carpendale. Yes, it could, Garvey says. And no, he doesn’t want to sing it without practice. But he couldn’t get out of the number. And so suddenly he found himself on stage with a little textual help on his mobile (see video above).

Eventually, Alexandra won the battle. You performed the song in the best possible way – you still can’t sing it perfectly, unless your name is Rea Garvey, says Forster with a wink. (so)
