Mostafa El Qabbani, a high-appeal lawyer, says that, according to the Egyptian law governing the sale of medicines, it is forbidden to sell or prescribe medicines without a prescription, since the law 127 of 1955 with its amendments established in article n . 32 that a pharmacist may not dispense to the public any medicine prepared in a pharmacy except under A medical ticket, with the exception of constitutional compositions used externally, as well as constitutional formulas used externally, provided that one of the materials mentioned in the attached Table 1 to this law does not include in their composition.

Al-Qabbani added that he cannot dispense any private pharmaceutical preparation that contains any of the substances listed in Table (2) attached to this law, except with a written approval from the doctor.
