The U21 Swiss who have already qualified for the European Championship will win the ninth qualifying match. Filip Stojilkovic scored 2-1 against Azerbaijan in the 91st minute in Thun.

After Mauro Lustrinelli’s team had already sovereignly qualified for EM 2021 in Slovenia and Hungary in October, they were challenged by the outsider as in the first leg (1-0). Azerbaijan took the lead in the 22nd minute against the course of the match.

The Swiss drew shortly after breaking up with Bastien Toma, who has been playing for Genk in Belgium this season. The former Sioner was immediately after Andi Zeqiri’s shot on the post for the 1-1. When hardly anyone expected the winning goal, substitute Aarau Stojilkovic managed to score a 2-1 header after a perfect cross from St. Gallen’s Miro Muheim.

For a perfect qualification, there is still no victory against the strongest France in the group, who lost 3-1 in the first leg a year ago. On Saturday morning, the team will leave for Caen in Normandy, where kick-off will begin at 9pm on Monday.
