Since November 5, students of the 206th promotion of prison guards based in Agen have carried out an internship in all prisons in France. They are 700 to be scattered in order to carry out a scriptwriting course in the prison environment.

But this promotion has just been surpassed by the Covid-19 virus. Several students in different prisons tested positive. Exceptional measures are and will therefore be implemented as a matter of urgency. Because the students are in detention, in contact with the detainees.

At the Fresnes Penitentiary Center, 7 of the 45 future supervisors tested positive. All are placed in isolation in “septaine”. In Fleury-Mérogis, a screening of the size of this establishment must be carried out starting Thursday 12 November. Among others, it is aimed at 206 internsis promotion, coming directly from Agen. At the penitentiary center in Lorient or even in Bordeaux, the same case, reports the newspaper PetitBleu.fr.

In a Parisian facility, management has called for the immediate withdrawal of the detentions of these class 206 trainees. A reminder asks students to be placed in September until November 18 with instructions to take a Covid test and the obligation to inform the prison administration.
