The second batch of seasonal flu vaccine was distributed and sold out within two days. And this is due to the increase in demand from citizens. This was stated on Friday by the general secretary of the union of dispensing pharmacists of Tunisia (SPOT), Naoufel Amira.

In fact, Amira specified in a statement to TAP that most of the quantities of the second batch, or 170,000 doses, were consumed in two days. Knowing that the distribution by pharmacies for the benefit of the citizen was started last Wednesday 18 November.

The increased demand for these types of vaccines is explained by the increased need and spread of seasonal flu. That’s almost 700,000 doses. While only 170,000 doses were distributed during the second tranche (November 18). And 100,000 doses of vaccines during the first episode in early October, the same source recalls.
