The price of Ripple (XRP / USD) reached a maximum of 11 days in a strong uptrend that dominated the market in the last two sessions.
On Monday, the second largest digital currency on the market was one of the brightest, thanks to a very intense afternoon session. After claiming the $ 0.30 level in the early afternoon, the digital currency has increased by more than 10% to reach a maximum of 11 days of $ 0.336. The cryptocurrency withdrew during the last hours of the session, ending its day at $ 0.328. However, this was well above the initial Ripple level of $ 0.288.
The digital currency saw further gains during the early hours of today's morning session and even exceeded the $ 0.34 threshold, which was something that had not been done since December 6. However, the currency has since retreated to lower levels. At the time of writing this article, Ripple's price was around the $ 0.33 level, according to the Coinmarketcap digital tracker data.
The digital currency market enjoyed a strong rally of relief from Sunday, with major currencies such as Bitcoin (BTC) and Stellar (XLM), having posted significant gains over that period. However, Ripple outperformed most of its major competitors in the last 24 hours, becoming the second largest gainer after EOS.
The Ripple price rally was accompanied by a significant improvement in terms of market activity. According to recent market data, about $ 820 million XRP tokens have changed in the last 24 hours. This is significantly higher than Monday's daily trading volume of $ 639 million, which was already double the volume generated on Sunday.
In today's trading, the price of Ripple was $ 0.334, at 13:36 GMT. The digital currency has gained 10.9% in the last 24 hours. Its total market capitalization currently stands at $ 13.65 billion.
