185 coronavirus patients are currently being treated in the area’s hospitals.
An update from Northern Lincolnshire and the Goole NHS Foundation Trust confirmed that their hospitals are under great pressure as more and more people need treatment for Covid-19.
They confirmed that there are currently 90 patients at Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby, 90 patients at Scunthorpe General Hospital and 5 patients at Goole & District Hospital.
The Trust also said 11 people are currently in intensive care at Grimsby and Scunthorpe hospitals. There are 6 at Diana, the Princess of Wales Hospital and 5 at Scunthorpe General Hospital.
The ICU capacity in Grimsby is 7, while in Scunthorpe it is 8.

There are many more treatments available to help with coronavirus symptoms outside of the ICU, including medication and access to oxygen treatment.
This news teases Boris Johnson’s coronavirus update, which will define the plan for England when it exits the national bloc on December 2.
A stricter three-tier system is expected to be put in place, which will see shops and gyms reopen on all three levels, but pubs and restaurants will remain closed for all tier 3 areas.
It is incredibly likely that North Lincolnshire, North East Lincolnshire and East Lindsey will be placed in Tier 3 as cases continue to grow in the area.
According to current NHS and government data, North East Lincolnshire is currently the sixth worst case rate in the country, with a rate of 414 cases per 100,000 population. North Lincolnshire is currently the 11th with a case rate of 382 cases per 100,000 population.
But East Lindsey is seeing an increase in cases this month and currently ranks as the third worst bottom-tier local authority in England, with a case rate of 557 cases per 100,000 population.
