Xiaomi continues to make his own, presenting new smartphones practically every month. The latest additions to the vast portfolio will come for its subsidiary, with the launch of the new Redmi Note 9.

This is another excellent example of confused Chinese giant name strategy, as smartphones with this name have already been launched in the first half of 2020.

The event scheduled for November 26 will serve to make the arrival of the new Redmi Note 9 official in China, a market where the first models were never launched.

It therefore seems quite obvious that Xiaomi will try to maximize the sales of new smartphones by launching them on the market on the official day of Black Friday.

Interestingly, these new models arrive with a completely different design from those projected earlier this year. Therefore, it would not be entirely unreasonable to assume that they can be released globally with a completely different name.

The new Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 5G could dominate the mid-range segment

Although we are less than a week after the official presentation of these smartphones, information on their specifications is still scarce.

However, some rumors indicate that they will come with processors that will guarantee above-average performance, and could easily become one of the most powerful smartphones in this segment.

The Redmi Note 9 5G will arrive equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor, while the PRO model should have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G.

Both models will have a display with support for a 120Hz refresh rate and a quad camera with a 108MP main sensor.

As for its “gross” performance, it would not be surprising if the base model outperforms the Pro model, at least in performance tests.

Throughout the year, we’ve seen a stark dominance of Dimensity processors over Snapdragon, regularly dominating the AnTuTu platform rankings.
