So far I have seen smartphones with high refresh rates almost all manufacturers. Therefore, we have phones with refresh rates of 90Hz, 120Hz and 144Hz. Motorola has also chosen to roll out 90Hz refresh rate displays on its Moto Edge, Edge + and Moto G 5G Plus models this year.
But it looks like Motorola is planning another smartphone, which we’ve talked about in the past. This is the so-called Motorola Nio, which should debut early next year. Sure, it would have a screen with a high refresh rate. According to the latest rumors on the social network Twitter, the company would test an unusual refresh rate of 105Hz for the screen of the new phone.
This turns out to be a rather strange choice, being the refresh rate in Hz generally a multiple of 30 or 24 so as not to create problems during use. However, even though 105 doesn’t exactly divide into 24 or 30, this refresh rate continues it could be used for UI navigation, to be edited while watching multimedia content.
Another possibility would be that this refresh rate was only in the testing phase and that the phone came with a 90Hz screen. This technique has been applied in the past by Asus on the Asus ROG Phone 3 model, which debuted with a 144Hz screen. Later, I found that the screen also supports 160Hz experimentally, the company tested the functionality before launch.
How about Motorola Nio, would have a Latest generation Snapdragon 865 processor, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Its codename would be XT2125 and we have the option to see a variant with 12GB of RAM and 256 of storage. Its screen would measure 6.7 inches diagonally and have a resolution of 2520 x 1080.
It will also have a dual selfie camera, framed in a pill cutout. At the rear we find a 64MP main camera, which sounds a downgrade from the Motorola Edge +, along with a 16MP ultrawide camera and 2MP Bokeh.
At the moment we know so much about the Motorola Nio, the terminal is scheduled for the first quarter of 2021.
