In a statement released by King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia, it was reported that the most realistic 3D model of the coronavirus has been developed so far.

Scientists from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology say the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19) developed the most realistic 3D model. Scientists used images and databases of proteins obtained with the aid of a microscope during model development.

While the study shows the current structure of the SARS-CoV-2 virus at the atomic level, it also reveals details that were previously impossible to see. The internal structure of the virus is also seen in the model.

Scientists believe that this study will allow them to investigate previously unexamined parts of the virus and accelerate drug development against Kovid-19.
