The Lions have completed the sweep against the sharks

With spectacular work from star Eduard Reyes and up to 12 unscathed, the Caracas Lions beat La Guaira Sharks 8-3 this Saturday to wipe out the streak.

Reyes pitched five complete innings of a single dirty run, walked without walking and hit five to leave his ERA spotless and ultimately earn his first win of the year.

The capital’s bakery supported him strongly.

First with three lines in the first inning, thanks to a brace from Keibert Ruíz and a single from José Rondón, and then with three more in the third, the result of a brace from Romer Cuadrado and the single from Luis Basabe and Ronny Cedeño.

In the fourth episode, an Edgar Durán single pushed the first salty hairline and the only one that went on Reyes’ account.

Three innings later, the Longhairs extended their lead with a single from Square that led into two more touchdowns.

Daniel Mayora and Diego Infante teamed up to add two more because of the salty, but it was already the ninth inning and the comeback was a total utopia.

Rondón and Cuadrado both finished 4-2 with two RBI and Wilfredo Tovar went 5-3 with a brace to remain the capital’s best hitter with an average of .556.

The defeat went to the salty starter Ofreidy Gomez, who in an effort of 2 2/3 innings allowed six runs and recorded a disastrous 20.25 ERA.
