The Hungarian national football team is the third German opponent in next year’s EM preliminary round. The two-time vice world champion qualified for a European championship for the fourth time with a dramatic 2: 1 (0: 1) in the play-off against Iceland. Due to a mistake by Leipzig goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi from a free-kick by Gylfi Sigurdsson (11th), Hungary remained behind. North Macedonia is making history
