Jordanian Minister of Health, Nazir Obeidat, said: “The statements made by medical experts are not well understood, and that what is released by the official authorities and the Ministry of Health is the real thing, otherwise it is misunderstood” .
Obeidat indicated in statements to the daily (Al-Ghad) today Monday that statements by the former minister, Azmi Governorate, mean that the expected number of injured since the start of the pandemic could reach one million citizens, and this it does not mean that we now have a million injured.
Regarding the statements of the former health minister, Dr Saad Al-Kharabsheh, Obeidat said: “Jordan’s arrival at the fourth stage in the future means the peak of expected injuries, and it doesn’t mean that we are at the peak now.”
He stressed the importance of understanding the statements of health experts in their correct context, calling for the absence of panic and fear of these statements.
And he believed that the error was not in the claims attributed to the experts, but in the error of understanding the context of these claims.
And the former minister, member of the epidemiological assessment committee, Dr. Azmi Muhafaza, said in press statements: The number of deaths from the Corona virus in Jordan reflects the extent of the spread of the epidemic in the Kingdom.
He added that the high death toll from the Corona virus is not only in Jordan, but also in the world at large, indicating the severity of the disease and the limited experience of Jordanian hospitals in dealing with it.
He expressed the belief that the number of royal (Corona) injuries in Jordan has exceeded one million cases, indicating that in all countries of the world the number of real injuries is much higher than that reported.
