The results of a new survey on Fundstrat's cryptocurrency are in: Bitcoin is the institutional favorite while Ripple and XRP are favorites on Twitter crypto.
Fundstrat conducted two separate surveys. One was a survey of 10 questions given to 25 institutions and the other was a Twitter survey of 6 questions with 9,500 responses.
It is interesting to note that the institutions are more bullish on the price of Bitcoin for 2019, with 54% saying that BTC has hit the bottom, with 44% of Twitter voters taking the same position.
When asked what will be the most performing token of 2019, the institutions have chosen BTC for a landslide of 59%. EOS followed up 18%, while Ethereum was third at 8%. When the same question was asked to the Twitter public, 46% chose XRP as best actor, followed by 31% BTC, 15% Ethereum and 8% EOS.
Also the XRP was the most polarizing sign of the investigation. When asked what coin investment thesis makes the slightest sense, the institutions chose 28% XRP, followed by a 17% BTC. When the same question was asked, Twitter voters chose 32% TRON, followed by 31% XRP. BTC has come to 17%.
Both the institutions and the voters of Twitter believe that Bitcoin has already touched the bottom. Both have also chosen central banks as the most important macro factor influencing the crypts, followed by emerging markets, geopolitical tensions and, finally, the US dollar.
