The GC wins thanks to a mistake by the goalkeeper in Aarau

The Grasshoppers managed to easily break away from the top of the Challenge League. After the 1-0 win in the extra match against FC Aarau, the lead over rival Thun is four points.

A failed tee-off by Aarau goalkeeper Simon Enzler led to the only goal in the 32nd minute. The ball landed at the feet of the Brazilian André Santos, who hit the orphan goal from 35 meters. Equal Aarau then had a few opportunities to equalize. Olivier Jäckle failed just before half-time with an (unauthorized) penalty to GC goalkeeper Mateo Matic.
