The first FritzBox can already do it: the AVM update brings practical functions to the home office

The new laboratory version of the FritzBox 7590 brings a function that can be particularly useful in the home office. Because this allows you to specify a device in the WLAN to which the FritzBox has given priority. Means: If the “line” is used heavily, the computer together, for example, still gets enough bandwidth to continue working, streaming or playing games.

This feature is already hidden on other AVM routers. The FritzBox 7590 now also offers everything in Mesh WiFi. If repeaters or access points are also installed in the home network, the set device will continue to have priority when you switch to another access point. In addition, the update brings a fax journal that summarizes all faxes sent and received. It is not known when the patch will eventually appear as a final version of the FritzBox 7590 or even other AVM routers.
