Al-Sharq news site revealed that former Sudanese president Omar Al-Bashir’s health condition had deteriorated and he was hospitalized.

The website cites informed sources that Omar Al-Bashir was transferred to Omdurman’s Alia Military Hospital at dawn on Saturday for medical examinations after his health had deteriorated.

Sources indicated that the health of Al-Bashir, who has been detained in Kober Prison in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, since his overthrow in April 2019, has deteriorated following the death of his brother Major General Abdullah Hassan Ahmed Al-Bashir. last week, due to infection with the new Corona virus.

Al-Bashir is expected to conduct the examination to detect the Corona virus, although he has not had any symptoms of infection with the virus.

Omar Al-Bashir and Major General Abdullah Hassan Ahmed Al-Bashir were detained in the same prison. And Abdullah Al-Bashir’s body was taken to the “Hillat Hamad” cemetery in Khartoum North, without the presence of his brother, whose request to attend the funeral was rejected by the Sudanese authorities.

According to Sudanese media reports, Major General Yasser Bashir, who was the director of Omar Al-Bashir’s office, died on Friday in Alia Military Hospital, where he was transferred from Kober Prison after being infected with the Coronavirus. .

Omar al-Bashir’s last appearance was on November 17, when he attended a session of his trial alongside other accused in the 1989 coup plot.
