The creator of XRP Tip Bot says he joined XRP after seeing an interview with the Ripple CTO

The creator of XRP Tip Bot Wietse Wind recently spoke on the 51 percent Crypto Research podcast, where he discussed why he is in love with XRP. He also talked about how he started working in the crypto-space and was inspired to create the Tip Bot.

Wietse claimed to have entered cryptographic space in 2010 or 2011, when there was not much clamor about it. He said he discovered the blockchain technology when he started digging into his computer. He has declared:

"And then it was not until 2016 when I saw an interview with David Schwartz, CTO of Ripple, and I thought it was pretty interesting, so I looked at the technology and I noticed that it's really easy to get started if you're a developer web or someone who programs in his spare time or knows JavaScript. "

He said he started with a few lines of code and continued to program and share open source, creating XRPL projects.

Wietse added that he is in love with XRP over any other cryptocurrency, mainly because of how the technology behind XRP is set. According to him, it's easy for web developers to develop real-world applications, whether it's a small business or a large company.

He added to the previous saying:

"I think some things are really important for both developers and users [implementing XRP technology] it must be fast, it must be cheap. It must be easy to implement the technology in the app, but also in the browsers … which is really at the heart of XRP. "

Wietse went on to say that with XRP, it is not necessary to download the whole chronology of the blockchain to interact with it. Without any addiction, you can simply connect and start reading or sending messages or transactions, he said. He said there are other cryptocurrencies with similar functionality, but the XRP transaction time is about 4 seconds and "this is the kind of time a consumer is willing to wait for confirmation".

Wietse said he was already programming and integrating with the XRP register and that he had published some small pieces of code on GitHub. He said he created TipBot with the models available on the XRP ledger and published it in November on Reddit. He also added:

"And then a few months later the Reddit community started to overturn each other, so I continued to develop and I believe that now over 70,000 suggestions are sent and about 100,000, XRP."
