The company is planning new tactics: Alaba pushes Bayern to rethink

[ad_1]

David Alaba has been playing for FC Bayern for twelve years. It has been open for months if there will be more years. Because the poker contract between the Bundesliga and the professional drags on. So much so that the German record champions are discussing future negotiations.

The poker between David Alaba and FC Bayern shoots and shoots. While the extensions of Manuel Neuer and Thomas Müller have long since concluded, the defender threatens to dominate the rest of the season. According to “Kicker”, the record champions want to change their strategy so that this doesn’t happen in the future. From now on, contractual negotiations should be dealt with much earlier. Not just when players are about to enter their final year of contract or – as now with Alaba – have (significantly) less than twelve months remaining.

So it is quite likely that there will soon be behind-the-scenes negotiations with Leon Goretzka, Niklas Süle and Corentin Tolisso. The trio’s contracts expire in the summer of 2022. However, according to “Kicker”, nothing specific has been discussed with the players and their advisors and an early extension of the contract is not a surefire success. The reason: the crisis of the crown. On the part of the pros, this ensures that players in good shape wait longer for their market value to develop and play poker, as is the case with Alaba, who has been playing at the club for twelve years.

On the part of the clubs, however, too early action is prevented because the budget for the next few years is not known and therefore there is a big risk of increasing the salary of the respective star in the early stages of the contract extension. It remains to be seen why FC Bayern did not set a deadline in the Alaba case in order to eliminate the matter in a timely manner. A date around the end of the transfer deadline in early October would have been conceivable. However, this may have been happening internally for a while in the coming weeks. Until the whole thing is disclosed, Alaba’s future should continue to dominate the media world.

As for the message that the negotiations would have to fail again (for the time being). According to “Sport Bild”, the club had offered the player a five-year contract in the third round of negotiations – previously it was probably only four years. The seemingly decisive point, however, was that those responsible made no concessions in terms of wages. There are still around eleven million euros per year plus bonus payments. The Alaba side is said to feel this is too low. Why: Captain Manuel Neuer, Thomas Müller or Robert Lewandowski would also have significantly higher salaries.
