In Italy, the Michelin Guide has 66 editions, counting the 2021 edition, unveiled this week with a virtual ceremony, which unveiled its new stars. It was there that the star of Il Poggio Rosso was announced, one of the two restaurants in San Felice, the gastronomic one or refined cuisine (the other is more traditional) whose name translates as “red mountain”.

Before arriving at the front of this restaurant, Quintero went through world-famous establishments such as Arzak, in the Basque Country, and Ostería Francescana, by chef Massimo Bottura, both establishments that have been awarded three Michelin stars.

The Michelin star is not Quintero’s first recognition in Italy, it was also chosen as the best young chef in Italy as part of the Rome Gastronomy Festival in 2018.
