“Whenever it is possible and safe to travel again, the family will return to Scotland with him,” said Roquebrune, 91, who has been married to the actor for 45 years. “We would like to hold a ceremony for him in Scotland – this is our hope”, but we can’t say exactly when it will happen. “

Roquebrune, who was with Connery when he died in his sleep at his home in Lyford Cay, Bahamas, also confirmed that the actor will be cremated in a private ceremony on the Caribbean island. His ashes will then be kept “safe” until the family travels to Scotland.
