The Block will usher in the biggest breakthrough ever in its 17-year history in 2021.
An insider revealed that the Nine show will not only undergo its biggest revamp, but will also feature “one hell of a shock” to its format.
Speaking with New Idea on Monday, a mysterious source claimed that the seventeenth season would introduce home and partner swapping.

The publication hinted that the producers were playing with the idea of having teammates change seats during the renovations while the home exchange was blocked.
“This will drive them all crazy and it will happen early in the series so the Blockheads don’t spit the dummy about the amount of work they’ve done and the end result isn’t too affected,” the insider said.
“The Block has been going on for so long – not only is it time for a bit of a jolt, but producers are fully aware that things have to change if they want the show to continue as a listening hit,” the source said. .
