Ubisoft today announced that the first episode, “The Crew 2: The Chase”, is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Stadia. The new season of “The Crew 2” introduces a new game mode, new features, exclusive vehicles, special events and much more. You can also see a launch trailer.
The new content for The Crew 2
- In the third year of The Crew 2, a new seasonal system is introduced, centered around Motorflix, a television program company. The company is known for producing the best motorized action movies. This is where players are recruited to play the lead role in various TV series with seasonal and themed episodes.
- Each episode lasts four months and consists of two consecutive episodes that last two months. In the very first episode, The Chase, players embody an elite pilot for the Vault Corp’s interception unit, a private bank. The mandate is: the outlaws must be stopped before they flee the city.
- In addition to Motorflix, players also have the opportunity to unlock content through a brand new feature: the Motorpass. The Motorpass is a new optional, multi-level reward system where players face daily and seasonal challenges. Each episode appears with its own engine pass, which consists of 50 levels. The Motorpass offers free and premium rewards, including exclusive vehicles. Players must purchase the Premium Motor Pass to access the Premium rewards. This can be purchased for 80,000 crew credits.
- Vehicle drops are still available in both episodes of Season 1 of The Crew 2, including the 2020 Chevrolet C8 Stingray and the 2013 Lamborghini Veneno Interception Unit. In total, 28 new vehicles are available for all players this season, which they can earn or buy. Also, in each episode there are new themed events that create the setting and music for the encounters with new opponents. Season 1: The Chase has four new themed events available for everyone to unlock exclusive rewards. In addition, players can enjoy a new game mode where they have to eliminate enemy vehicles in solo or cooperative mode.
- To expand the extraordinary range of vehicles, Motornation introduces a new “Creators” brand. So a new vehicle is added every season. Each vehicle was created by great freelance 3D artists and designers. The first artist to create an exclusive vehicle for The Crew 2 is Khyzyl Saleem. As a talented British 3D artist, he designed The Chase’s lawless boss vehicle – the KS Masked Leader 2020.
