Why wait Black Friday? Sales have already started on almost all of our favorite Roku, Fire TV, and Chromecast devices, and we’ve rounded them all together here. This page collects the best offers in Amazon, Best buy, Walmart and in other places. Many of these sales were announced November 22-25, but nearly all are available now. The interesting aspects:
To be sure, we would have been looking for a Roku, or the Chromecast with Google TV, before the Fire Stick, but Amazon’s streamer offerings have also been really good recently and HBO Max now finally arrives on the platform. The big conclusion here is that all of these devices are low priced or pretty much all the time, and they’re all a great way to upgrade older TVs to the latest streaming platforms.
Please note that prices and availability were accurate at the time of publication, but may vary.

The Roku Streaming Stick Plus 4K is our favorite streamer and at just $ 30 it will be pretty untouchable in terms of value for money. The Stick offers hundreds of apps, the great Roku interface, and a sturdy voice-activated remote. Read our Roku Streaming Stick Plus review.

It is not a 2020 model like the previous two, but it is still the best offer. It’s the only Fire Stick device with the ability to play 4K HDR video, and at just $ 2 more than the standard non-4K device, it’s worth the investment even if you don’t have a 4K TV yet.

Google’s new Chromecast with Google TV has a lot to like, including a revamped interface, 4K HDR with Dolby Vision support, a real remote, and great integration with Google Assistant. In a Google Store exclusive deal, the search giant is bundling its typically $ 50 streamer with six months of Netflix’s standard $ 90 plan. The deal is available to new and existing Netflix subscribers.

Like the Roku Ultra, the Streambar came out about 10 seconds ago and is getting a healthy discount as well. For the same price as the Ultra on a typical day, the Streambar pairs a powerful 4K streamer with a dialogue-enhancing soundbar. It also includes Bluetooth for good measure. The Roku SE 2019 is an entry-level Roku that can handle all your streaming needs. It’s not as fast as the Streaming Stick Plus and doesn’t include Roku’s most useful advanced remote (which has a microphone for voice control and doesn’t require you to point it directly at your TV). It also lacks 4K support and new features like AirPlay. However, it only costs $ 17 and should be fine for basic streaming.
The SE is virtually identical to the $ 25 Roku Express aside from the white color.

The most important thing missing from the Fire TV Stick Lite is a remote control that controls the power and volume of the TV. The Fire TV Stick 2020 has that remote, and for Amazon’s Black Friday sale it will drop from $ 40 to $ 28. But unless you really want to save $ 2, you should get the Fire TV Stick 4K (below), which adds to the mix support for 4K TV resolution.

We saw a lot of offers on the Roku Ultra at the end of its useful life last month, but the 2020 model just came out and it’s already discounted. From what we’ve seen, it’s a significant upgrade, with Dolby Vision and better wireless performance, and at $ 69 it’s a great deal.

The Fire TV Cube combines an Alexa voice controlled speaker, 4K Fire TV video streamer, and universal remote in one device. If you enjoy using your voice to control your TV, not to mention other Alexa-compatible devices in your home, it might be worth taking the plunge into this exciting all-in-one product, priced between $ 120 and $ 80. Note that this is the most recent version (2019), which has added some nice improvements since you first evaluated it in 2018.

Fire TV Recast is one of the simplest ways to record and stream TV over the air. It integrates seamlessly with the Fire TV Stick, and with a $ 100 discount it’s a steal.

The Roku Premiere is basically the Streaming Stick Plus (same channels, streaming in 4K HDR quality) in a tabletop case, but without the best remote that also controls the volume and power of your TV. We recommend spending the extra $ 5 for the Stick Plus, but this is a solid transmitter.

Want a Chromecast but not interested in the new software or Google TV remote? Google’s previous Chromecast will drop to $ 19 at Walmart for Black Friday. This appears to be the regular Chromecast, not the 4K compatible Chromecast Ultra, but if you don’t mind running apps from your phone, tablet, or computer, this is a good budget option. Oh, and $ 5 of Vudu credit is also included.

The Roku-exclusive version of the Ultra for Walmart has been slashed to $ 48. Although it’s the 2019 version, it typically retails for $ 79 and is a capable Roku box that includes 4K HDR support, an Ethernet jack, and includes a remote control with a headphone jack for private listening. While very similar to the main Ultra, the Ultra LT sadly drops the remote search function and software keys on the remote. Read our comparison between Ultra LT and other Rokus.
