Type 2 diabetes affects more than 300 million people worldwide and is characterized by high blood sugar levels and insulin resistance.

Mashed bananas on toast is a better choice than jam, while limiting high-calorie foods and butter. Scrambled eggs are always a good choice with a piece of wholemeal toast.

Fruits and vegetables should be added to increase fiber intake. Good choices are berries or nuts, half a banana with cereal, or roasted tomatoes with eggs on toast.
Research has shown that people with type 2 diabetes who eat breakfast are less likely to overeat during the day.
The importance of choosing a food that makes you feel full for a longer period. Foods with a low glycemic index can help prevent blood sugar spikes during the morning and even after lunch.
This, in turn, will kick-start your metabolism and provide energy throughout the day.
A study in diabetic mice found that kombucha (tea mushroom) slowed the digestion of carbohydrates, which led to lower blood sugar levels.
And kombucha made with green tea is arguably more beneficial, as green tea itself has been shown to lower blood sugar levels.
In fact, a review study of nearly 300,000 people found that green tea drinkers had an 18% lower risk of developing diabetes.
More human studies are needed to investigate the benefits of kombucha for blood sugar control.
