Dissatisfied with the team’s poor results in the Champions League, dozens of Marseille fans blocked access to the training center, delaying the team’s departure for the match against Nantes.

André Villas-Boas commented after the match that Marseille won 3-1.

“Honestly, I was more worried about being late for the game. We got the message. I tried to tell the fans not to get into the media euphoria and let us work. Have a little patience, we are doing well in the league », said the Portuguese coach.

«The fans were asking for better football and we must look for it. I hope they were happy with this result today, but this victory is more important to me. We are aware that we have disappointed them in the Champions League », he speculated.

Despite the good performance in Ligue 1 – Marseille (3rd place with four points from PSG and with less than two games) took the fourth consecutive victory and have not lost in seven games -, the team led by Villas-Boas has not yet won no points in the Champions League. Following Wednesday’s loss to FC Porto, Marseille have two more games against Olympiakos and Manchester City.
