The Attorney General’s Office (PGR) has confirmed that the purchase of Mattheus Oliveira from Estoril, in 2017, is being investigated by the prosecutor.
The information was put forward by JN, who revealed that the investigation is in charge of the special team of the Central Department of Investigations and Prosecutions (DCIAP) and aims to determine whether the transfer of the Brazilian midfielder, today to Coritiba, for 2 million euros, double the market value it would have at the time, was inflated to give Sporting an advantage in a match against Estoril in February 2017 (2-0).
Sporting does not comment. Bruno de Carvalho, then president of Leo, reacted on social media.
