Samsung from South Korea has released a surprising new update. It’s amazing because it launched it for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note 5 smartphones launched 5 years ago.

Android smartphones are usually abandoned in terms of updates, about 3 years after their launch. As Android smartphone makers produce a whole host of different devices every year, it’s no wonder they can’t focus their resources on older devices, so they mostly focus on newer ones.

However, to everyone’s surprise, Samsung recently released a firmware update for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note 5 smartphones, both of which launched 5 years ago and are considered by some to be outdated and outdated.

The change log for this firmware doesn’t bother us, but SamMobile speculates that the firmware update was likely released due to a security flaw in the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 phones, which caused an update to be released by by Samsung to prevent certain consequences.

These are just speculations at the moment, so it’s unclear why an update is rolled out for those smartphones after 5 years. But for whatever reason, if you still own a Samsung Galaxy S6 or a Samsung Galaxy Note 5, you should install this update.
