TD Ameritrade set up the XRP community on this evening when he left an important mark on future XRP support on the popular investment platform.
Today, a Twitter user named Jerry Hall (@ Jerryvhall1) sent an innocent tweet to the TD Ameritrade Network account (@TDANetwork) asking their opinions about possible XRP support in the future:
"I have a TD account and I love it," writes Jerry. "I want to thank you for the network – excellent content, I do not see the hour myself [sic] using TD Ameritrade to exchange digital assets like #XRP – any word on when I can expect to do it ?? "
See tweets like this always from the cryptography supporters on Twitter. Throw tweets to random financial giants hoping to get a bite. For once, however, Jerry has actually taken a bite. TD Ameritrade replied from his official account with an intriguing information:
"I'm glad you like our content!" Answered TD Ameritrade. "We're still exploring the #XRP space – stay tuned for more information – our team is working hard to make things like this happen."
The tweet quickly gathered hundreds of retweets and I like it.
I'm glad you're enjoying our content! We are still exploring the #XRP space – stay tuned for more information. Our team is working hard to make things like this happen.

XRP, for those out of the loop, has grown to become the second largest cryptocurrency in the world by market capitalization, surpassing Ethereum last month.
While the cryptography prices have been successful, XRP has not lost much as much as other digital currencies. Meanwhile, the adoption of XRP continues to grow among banks, and Ripple – which owns the majority of existing XRPs – continues to expand its blockchain offers.
Could TD Ameritrade allow encrypted trading in the near future?
It is no secret that TD Ameritrade is exploring cryptography. However, the tweet seems to imply that a cryptographic product is closer to the launch we might think.
In October, it was revealed that TD Ameritrade had made a strategic investment in an exchange called ErisX. That platform would offer the bitcoin spot and futures trading. At the moment, it was reported that the ErisX partnership would have allowed TD Ameritrade to list encryption products directly within the TD Ameritrade platform. In other words, customers accessing their normal investment platform would be able to easily access cryptographic products with just a few clicks.
At the time it was a big news for the bitcoin market. It was said that one of the largest investment platforms for North America was to launch cryptographic products directly within their existing platform. However, as he was at the center of the bear market, he was underestimated.
Based on TD Ameritrade's latest tweet, the company has not abandoned plans to integrate ErisX or some type of cryptographic product into their platform.
TD Ameritrade's latest tweet sparked a burst of buzz inside the crypto community. He could TD Ameritrade be the first big mainstream investment platform that allows you to access the crypto without facing a clandestine exchange? It certainly seems possible. We will keep you updated on upcoming TD Ameritrade encryption products, including whether or not they decide to list XRP in the near future.
