“Tatort” rating: how did you like “Monsieur Murot’s vacation”?

Who will cry for us when one day we are taken underground? Commissioner Murot (Ulrich Tukur) had the dubious experience of being a guest at his funeral when a doppelganger was buried by him under his name. From a hiding place, the investigator teased the pathetic number of mourners.

“Monsieur Murot’s Holidays” was a comedy that made full use of the grotesque and paradoxical situations of the genre. At the same time, the film was filled with sunshine, desire and sensuality, because the detective showed a lot of who he might still be in growing affection for the murder victim’s wife.

In our review we wrote: “I’m someone else: Tukur rocks and drinks in top form through another metaphysical detective comedy.” We gave 9 points out of 10. How did you like the doppelganger crime thriller?

By the way, another Tukur “crime scene” is currently being filmed in Hesse under difficult conditions. The working title fits into the dark times of the pandemic and the resistive humor of Murot’s detective novels: “Hope Principle”. The episode will air next year.
