Synology launches DS1621 +, a 6-bay NAS and AMD Ryzen processor. This is a solution focused on performance and operational stability, intended for content creators and the business environment looking for a reliable and fast solution.
The new DS1621 + is equipped with a state-of-the-art processor, AMD Ryzen with four cores. It offers sequential write speeds of up to 1.1GB / s, 75% faster than the previous generation DS1618 +. Read is random 4KB with 110,000 IOPS, 174% more than the previous model.
Thanks to the four-core AMD Ryzen processor, the DS1621 + offers double the processing performance of Intel’s previous generation (Atom C3538).
The new drive features two M.2 2280 slots, which allow for the installation of NVMe SSDs. Thus, the cache will be stored on very fast NVMe drives, which can provide 20% higher performance for data that is accessed frequently.
