Actor Patrick Dempsey returned as Dr. Derek “McDreamy” Shepherd, in a sequence five years after the character’s death.
At the center of the episode are Meredith Gray (played by Ellen Pompeo) and Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) who, along with other doctors and nurses, are struggling to fight the coronavirus.
