Dr Khaled Mujahid, the Minister of Health and Population’s Advisor for Media Affairs and the ministry’s official spokesperson, said 221 new cases have been registered that tested positive for laboratory testing of the virus, as part of the necessary surveillance, investigation and examination procedures that the ministry conducts according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, indicating the death of 12 new cases.
Mujahid said that, according to the recommendations of the World Health Organization issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
“Mujahid” said the total number that has been recorded in Egypt with the new Corona virus as of Monday is 109,422 cases, including 100,439 cases that have been treated and 6380 deaths.
