It’s that time again: Spotify audio streaming service publishes its annual reviews. The most popular songs, artists and podcasts that have accompanied us in this extraordinary year will be revealed. The ratings were based on the number of streams of the 320 million Spotify users. Additionally, Spotify has put together an individual list of the songs you’ve listened to the most this year for you.
But let’s start with Mr and Mrs Swiss’s most popular songs first.

The list of the most listened to songs in the world is similar to the Swiss list. “The Weeknd” with its hit “Blinding Light” is number one, followed by “Dance Monkey” from “Tones And I”. Third place goes to “Roddy Ricch” with “The Box” (6th place in Switzerland). We already know the following from above:

- Seat 4: Juice WRLD
- 3rd place: J Balvin (4th place in 2019)
- 2nd place: Drake (2nd place in 2019)
- 1st place: Bad Bunny (19th place 2019)
Top of the world rankings is Puerto Rican Bad Bunny with his cheery songs. With 8.3 billion streams, he is one of the most listened to international artists on Spotify.
The most popular artists in Switzerland in 2020
In Switzerland this list looks almost completely different. Only Drake is in the top 5 in Switzerland. One thing stands out in particular: rap has been heard the most in this country.

- 2nd place: Samra (3rd place in 2019)
