Some iPhone 12 units have screen issues

A few days ago we reported here a problem affecting the iPhone 12 Mini screen, and today there are reports of a different problem, which are related to the screen, but this time the iPhone 12.

The most recent reports, which come from several recent owners of the iPhone 12, report that their device is revealing a greenish tint on the screen and some report that the screen may flicker quite frequently. However, if you are one of those affected by this defect, you can rest assured, as everything indicates that the problem is in terms of software. It is that the folks at MacRumors had access to an official Apple internal document, which an Apple-authorized after-sales service was sent to, advising not to support these devices.

Instead, the Cupertino company asks technicians to advise customers to keep their equipment updated with the latest version of iOS. In other words, the problem would be purely software and could be solved with a simple update. However, you will have to wait for a new update to see if the problem is fixed or not. Otherwise, unfortunately it could mean that your device’s screen is faulty.

This concern seems to affect virtually all the different iPhone 12 models without distinction, namely iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. Not all users necessarily have this problem. So if your screen isn’t green then you don’t need to worry, as your device probably still has screen issues. For the rest we will have to be patient while Apple will solve this problem.
