Slowthai announced their new album “TYRON” and shared the video of their latest single “NHS” – you can watch the clip below.
The Northampton-based rapper will release the follow-up to his 2019 debut album “ Nothing Great About Britain ” on February 5, 2021 via Method Records.
“NHS” follows the release of “Feel Away” in September and both tracks will be featured on “TYRON”.
In a tweet Released this afternoon (Nov 19), Slowthai explained that ‘NHS’ – the video (which broadcasts aspects of the coronavirus-imposed blockade) you can see below for – was written “as a reminder to always appreciate what you have while having it” .
“Be happy and be content with what you have,” he added. “Things could always be better, but even worse. Thanks for everything.”
In a statement on “TYRON”, which features guests such as Skepta, A $ AP Rocky and Dominic Fike, Slowthai said the album was “created during a difficult time in my life”.
“I’m far from perfect, but I learned a lot about myself while creating this album and I will continue to grow into a better person for myself and aim to be a reflection of what I want to see in this world.
“I hope this album can be the light if you are in the dark, and to know that you are not alone,” he added. “It’s okay to be yourself, fuck everything else.
“Learn, grow, aim to improve than you were yesterday.”
