Petra Vlhova won the World Cup slalom in Levi. The Slovak took the lead in the first heat and defended this position with a sovereign final race. Even though he was taking risks below, he set the fastest time for the second time. It is his fourth consecutive slalom victory in all seasons.
In addition to the cash prize, he receives a reindeer, as is customary in Levi. He had already won in Finland in 2017. “Last year I was eliminated in the second heat, the happier I am for the victory,” said the 25-year-old.
Strong Shiffrin despite a long pause
In his first race after a 300-day hiatus (corona pandemic, father’s death, injury), Shiffrin proved that it can be expected again this winter. However, it is doubtful that the ambitious 25-year-old is satisfied with second place. 23-year-old Liensberger took the slalom podium for the third time.
