The two met in 2014, when they were coaches of “The Voice”. They were both involved in other relationships at the time.
Stefani, now 51, was married to British musician Gavin Rossdale, with whom she has three children, and Shelton, 44, to country singer Miranda Lambert. They both divorced in the summer of 2015 and first appeared together at a party in 2016.
Shelton was named the Sexiest Man Alive in 2017 by People magazine and is the first country singer to receive this title. He accepted the title at the request of Stefani.
In 2018 they sang the song “You Make It Feel Like Christmas” together, included on Stefani’s Christmas album, and in 2020 they took the stage at the Grammy Gala to perform “Nobody But You”, a song included in her album. “Fully Loaded: God’s Country”.
On October 27, 2020, the couple announced their engagement via a photo posted on Instagram.
