Even in these times, hardly anyone can avoid shopping. It is therefore all the more important here to protect yourself and others from coronary infection. For example, carrying when there aren’t too many people around.
Shopping for groceries in the supermarket is and will be allowed in the future. There, however, contact with other humans should be avoided as much as possible. However, despite all caution, there can be crowds. What could be more obvious than shopping when very few people stock up on groceries? What is the best time to shop at the supermarket right now and what should be considered in general?
“Many people now do their weekly shopping in a supermarket and avoid going to other markets,” says Christian Böttcher, press spokesperson for the German Federal Food Trade Association (BVLH). Purchases of long-life food and hygiene products have also increased rapidly again. “People in Germany have developed a sense of reality for the situation.”
When is it the most empty?
“As a rule, little happens in supermarkets early in the morning and late at night,” says Böttcher. “Late Tuesday mornings around 11 am is the time when the lowest sales are made and Wednesday is also a pretty quiet day.” So, if you want to avoid other people while shopping, you should avoid these hours if you can. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are perfect for students and retirees. Employees who want to shop in the morning should consider that refrigerated products must remain fresh. And if you’re aiming for the late evening, you have to contend with the fact that the Ost range of food, vegetables and salads may not be as generous anymore.
These hygiene rules should be observed when shopping:
- Weekly shopping reduces the number of contacts – create a weekly plan and, if possible, buy everything at once
- Always try to keep a safe distance and ask others to do the same
- Collect goods only when you really want to buy them.
- Better to refrain from olfactory tests on Ost and vegetables
- Don’t touch your face until you’ve washed your hands
- If possible, disinfect your hands after shopping
- Wash your hands thoroughly at home at the latest
- Also wash fresh fruit and vegetables thoroughly before eating
