Serge Gnabry says his former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger would make a “fantastic” manager for Bayern Munich.
Wenger has been out of work since leaving the Gunners in 2018 and turned down Bayern’s job in November last year.
While Arsenal manager Wenger oversaw Gnabry’s exit from the academy in 2012 and the winger went on to make 18 appearances under the Frenchman.
But after a failed loan transfer to West Brom, Gnabry was sold for just £ 5 million to Werder Bremen in 2016 and joined Bayern a year later.
The German continued to set Europe on fire with his smashing performances and helped the Bavarian giants clinch a historic hat-trick last season.

Bayern boss Hansi Flick was the mastermind of Bundesliga, DFK-Pokal and Champions League triumphs, but Gnabry insists Wenger would also be a success at the Allianz Arena.
“I think him [Wenger] could it be successful? For sure. He proved he was a fantastic coach to lead a club, ”said the 25-year-old.
“I would say the difference [between Wenger and Flick] for me, being an older player, it is probably easier to communicate with the manager.

“When you come in and you are very young, sometimes maybe you are a bit shy, but from a football point of view they are both at a very, very high level.”
Some of Gnabry’s best performances last season came in the Champions League, where he scored nine goals in 10 appearances.
A famous performance saw him score four goals against his former North London rivals Tottenham, while Bayern went rout with a 7-2 group stage win.
Gnabry added: “The most important thing was seeing some of my friends, they give me a lot of motivation.

“Obviously knowing the history and the atmosphere in the stadiums it’s nice to play in England, but somehow, due to my Arsenal history, you have more motivation against Spurs.
“Apart from that, every game is important and for me it’s going well against the London teams.”
Gnabry has scored four goals in five Bundesliga games this season, while leaders Bayern face a tough away match to second-placed Borussia Dortmund on Saturday night.
Turning his attention to ‘Der Klassiker’, Gnabry said: “It is very important because the two best teams in the Bundesliga are playing against each other.
“Whoever comes out in the lead, we hope, will gain a lot of confidence from that match for the rest of the season.
“Knowing the importance of that game, even at an international level, many people will watch the game, it makes us more valuable.”
