It is world AIDS day. In Senegal, the HIV prevalence rate is 0.5% in the general population. Quite a low rate… But the epidemic is centered around key populations, such as drug addicts. Five percent of them are infected with HIV. So, to detect as much as possible and avoid new infections, the country has relied on self-tests, which can be performed in all discretion for these marginalized people and their entourage.
